2026-27 Youth Parents Meeting
The 2026-27 Preseason Parent's Meeting will be held in October at The Station in Dublin, PA. The exact date and time are still to be announced. At least one family member per wrestler should attend.
New to Wrestling?
Wrestling is one of the best sports a kid can pick up — building discipline, confidence, fitness and lifelong friendships. You don't need any experience as a parent, and neither does your wrestler. Here's how it works at Pennridge.
Wrestling Gear
Registration includes a Pennridge Wrestling singlet and team t-shirt for competitions. Parents are responsible for headgear and wrestling shoes.

Practice Info
Wrestlers are placed into one of three skill-based practice groups. The head coach notifies parents of group assignment, and wrestlers may move between groups during the season. Practices are held at Pennridge area schools — if school is closed, there is no practice.
Practice schedules will be communicated weekly through the GroupMe app.

Competition Info
PWR wrestlers compete in Team Duals, ICWL Matches and individual ICWL Championship Tournaments throughout the season. There are 7 ICWL matches, all on Saturdays.
Pairings: each wrestler is grouped by age, weight and skill level. Our coaches meet with the competing team's coaches before each match to set the best match-ups. The goal is a minimum of 3 individual matches per Saturday — with both success and challenge, so kids have fun, learn and improve.
Declaring for matches: early each week the club sends out the match details (date, location, arrival and start times) with a sign-up for every wrestler — respond Yes or No. All blank responses are treated as a No. Sign-ups close Wednesday. If you said yes and can no longer attend, let the coaches know as soon as possible.
Team Duals work differently — coaches select the team for each dual and share the details at practice.
Weight Certifications
All wrestlers competing in the ICWL league must certify their weight before the competition season begins — this weight is used to pair your wrestler fairly at ICWL meets. The club communicates when and where weigh-ins happen. A separate weigh-in is required for the ICWL Championships.
USA Wrestling Membership
The club registers every elementary and middle school wrestler with USA Wrestling — you don't need to do anything. We'll send out your wrestler's USA Wrestling number; write it down somewhere safe. You'll need it for ICWL Championships registration and any outside competitions.
Home Meets & Volunteering
Home meets bring the whole community together — and they take a lot of hands. We need volunteers for mat setup, the snack stand, clocks, scoring tables and more. When PWR hosts a meet, a sign-up is sent out. It's a great way to support our athletes.
